I completely agree that the rare and NOS parts are drying up at swap meets in general. You can pretty much forget about buying anything decent at Pomona anymore. The internet has educated a whole new flock of parts collectors.

That doesn't change the fact that Portland is still a wonderful place to spend a day or three. There is more than going to a swap meet than finding your dream stash.

I may drive down with my "new" 03 DODGE Ram Cummins, just in case I do find something that I would need space to haul back.

I really need to make a contact for getting in "early"

My cell is 206-226-6465, if I can help anybody transport something to or from......

With this Long-azz truck am I going to be forced into parking at the Racetrack (grass fields) and busing to the EXPO.

About 10-15 years ago, I parked at one of warehouses by EXPO, then under construction and was towed away.

The swap meet must be the biggest towing day of the year in Portland !

Yes, two different organizers. Expo used to be great but IMHO and many others the current people got to be a little to high and mighty (fees too high, too many dumb rules, etc). Some of the original organizers started the PIR Swap. Many of the loyal Expo vendors have switched to PIR and it gets better every year and Expo gets a little weaker.

Chuck, PIR has been getting better ,it opens on thursday for the public ,its more laid back and muddier and alot of the long time expo vendors are moving to it . I heard PIR has been sold out for awhile. I go to PIR on thursday and do the expo Fri/Sat/Sun. It does have more then it fair share of not really car parts but I like looking at other stuff as well . Expo holds a pretty big antique show 3 times a year I like going to .As with all swap meets you never know what you might find , as for NOS parts supply is dwindling and will continue till we have used it all up. A sad fact but true . I have still seen some neat options here though even on Sat. It might depends on which end you start on , I always here about stuff that sold from the side I did not start at I would still rather go to the meet then evil bay , I like meeting the people and see the parts first hand .David

Do not forget rain gear along with the sunglasses and snowshoes . Well according to the weather guessers rain on thursday ,morning rain friday then dry friday afternoon through sunday . But it is the NW so give it 10 minutes and it might change. Also heard that road construction on I.5 and delta park might make it slow going this weekend so watch out .
By the way I am in Hall D booth 3354 and 3355 if I am not there that means I am out helping someone or passing out flyers for our chevelle club show but my brother Len will be there so stop by and say HI
David

I may come down for race track on Thursday and stay for expo opening on Friday AM.........

Can you give me specific times for each venue.......or link to correct web sites.......

Anybody involved........keep my cell 206-226-6465 as I may be able to help you in some way......

OR if you see "something" you're not buying, maybe pass it along..........
