For all I know, it could have been passed along from collector to collector. Stay tuned for PM later today . . . I recall article was written by Jerry Heasley and car may have been in Texas, but it's been YEARS since I've read the article.

The article was printed in the September 1987 issue of Muscle Car Review. The owner at the time was Ken Emmott of Houston TX. The article states the car had "around 10000 original miles". The article also states the car won "Best all around GS at the 1984 GS Nats so it seems to also have been at a Buick meet..The original selling dealer had the car until 1979. The car then went to Connecticut. The second owner apparently didn't register the car either. I remember drooling over that car when I first saw the article! I still have that same issue!

If you want to get picky, I compared some photos from the sellers website with the original article photos. The air cleaner foams look to have been replaced. The ones in the magazine article have "squared off" corners at the rear of them. Everything else looks pretty much the same- there's a little more rust on the brake booster now.

Thanks everyone for the issue information, I just purchased a copy off e-bay. It just floors me that the guy who owns the place it's at states: "And the car will go from the original selling Buick dealer to the next lucky owner!"

This was after I brought up the fact I was told it was in Muscle Car Review a while back, he stated in talking to the Buick dealer / current owner, it was never shown before, nor was it in any magazines.

You would think a car of this caliber should sell on it's own, with out the stories.

This is the latest e-mail I got from Joseph Carrol owner of Best of Show Automotive when I questioned if it was in any magazines, ect.:

Bill,

It's not the same car. My friend, Kevin Joyce, ordered the car at Joyce Buick and owned it until last month. It's never been to a Buick show.

And I never said the car was on MSO. My ad clearly shows the original title which was issued in 1972.

Not sure why you are doubting my word, but the facts are the facts.

If this car had been at the GS Nationals in May, it would have won all kinds of stuff. If you are intent on owning this car that appeared in a magazine back in the 80's, I can't help you.

I quess Is it possible this is not the same car?
