That's the whole thing...If I had known the car was as bad as it was, I wouldn't have bought it.

That said, I do sincerely appreciate the kind words and the encouragement. I can use all of that I can get at this point.

"pointless rant" ? I don't think so.

He'll, I have 114 pages of my own. Part of my court appointed anger management sentence.

Nice progress by the way. You're five years ahead of my schedule.

Back again with another progress report.

The back of the car is done; it's now in DP90 and ready for final prime & blocking.

MAN is it an encouraging sight to see the back of the car in one piece again!

The previous issues with the mis-stamped trunk gutter on the 1/4's and the deck filler panel are taken care of as well.

Next on the dossier are the pass. side door and front fender.

It turns out that the door is actually rust free save for some surface rust below the lower body line, but it's a non-issue.

It does have plenty of dents, however. It also has a lovely little bulge at the fender edge, I'm sure which was the result of the car's stuffed nose during an earlier life.

Unfortunately, the news is not as good for the fender.

Again...where there aren't any dents, there is rust. Where there isn't any rust, there are dents. Where there were rust holes, they were stuffed full of Bondo and covered over...see the lower rear edge of the fender for reference.

Gott'a love it.

The fender is structurally sound, so at this point Bodyguy will attempt to resurrect said fender. After what he's done with the rest of the car so far, I have faith in him.

Lastly, a quick pic of the cowl filler panel; more "rust free"...er..."free rust".

I'll be checking in with Bodyguy next week for another update, so be sure to stay tuned for the next nail-biting episode of "As Eric's Stomach Churns."
