Any advice on how to handle, funds transfer, when selling a car to someone out of your state, that you do not know.Is a cashiers check with a call to the issuing bank trust worthy??

Re: Selling a car
I agree with Bruce. A bank transfer is the best way to go. Cashiers checks are not 100% safe. The fake ones will take a week or so to be found out. A bank transfer is almost instant.

I always set up a new account and close it after the transfer...and the bank waves the bs fee's of setting up and closing the account, keeps your main numbers out of circulation of people and a bank you dont know, thats if they like you. |
