I am viewing it like wine....................I'm aging the process. If it's not ready my Power Tour next year, I'm sure I'll be looking for a divorce attorney. She will go with someone else

This is where I want to end up when this car is finished.....BUT......we have a few bridges to cross before I get there.....

Got the engine pulled out tonight of my "Perfect" survivor car.....LOL

Actually, the sheetmetal in the Engine compartment is in relatively good shape.....things are looking up!!

Gonna bring the LS engine home and see if all the store bought parts I bought make everything fit as advertised....LOL
Stay Tuned....

Brought the Engine home from the shop today and decided to play with the car a little.....

So......I dig around in the garage and find the Purchased parts for the install........Let's see how this is gonna go.......Adaptor plates and mounts for the LS conversion....

Wrapping Paper in the box........Hummmmm!!!....

Adaptor Plates and mounts........

Blood Pressures going up.......two of the bolts go in and the other two won't start....

Called Trans Dapt/ Hedman Headers and told them about their holes being off....the plates were Laser cut and the holes were off.....Come on guy's, this isn't Rocket Science......Got out the Carbide Burr and elongated the holes ..........Damm!!!

1/2 hour later.....

I had used the Trans Crapt plates as well and had the same results with my 59.

Moment of truth......Mounts, Holley Pan.......Is it gonna fit...

No Photoshoping allowed here....LOL.....

The Holley pan fits perfectly.....

got a small jack on the back of the trans.....I was worried about the size of the 4L65E and it fitting in the tunnel....lots of room......I just need to modify the crossmember slightly for the trans mount........Gonna get it mounted and take it apart, going for Media blasting on the 23rd and then off to the body shop........
