Cars back......30% window tint......Gas tank is full.....Just waiting for Friday morning to go to Monmouth for one of the "Best" shows of the year........I just Gotta say......This project was the most disappointing project to start out with.........Took a while to "Really" get the interest going...I knew where I wanted to end up (actually Mark Webster pushed me into the final form that the car ended up in) but......with it all said and done.....This is without a doubt one of the finest cars I have ever owned.....The suspension, LS drivetrain, 4 wheel power disc brakes coupled with the long wheelbase make this "Beater" a dream car for any type of driving........

One of the things that I knew would have to be improved in the car at some time was the front seat....It was there and looked good, but wasn't exactly the most comfortable thing to sit on for a long stint behind the wheel.....I longed for a contoured foam aftermarket seat like I had in the Chevelle and the 37.......But nothing was available for the big cars......So......I just happened to find a Power Strato Bench seat on Ebay.....as I remember they only installed around 11,000 of these seats in 67 and newer cars.....Neat seats as they had Bucket seat backs, a armrest, and a slightly contoured bench seat base......Hit the Buy-It now button and the seller was right in the chicago area......Picked it up today....It needs to be totally rebuilt.....but......That's O.K......I'll get it dis-assembled and chemically stripped to remove all the "Patina".....painted ......new seat Buns made with a little more contour than stock...and get new seat covers made with the same pattern and medallions as stock........It never ends with these things.......LOL.....

Seat as picked up....and the seller was brutally "Honest" in describing the condition of the seat in the Ebay ad.....Not one mention of Perfect or Survivor......LOL

Here we go again.....only on a much smaller scale.......

It's that good ole mid western nice coming through. Those seats are indeed comfortable and fairly rare as well. I think the last one I saw sell was around $600 and it was VERY rough.
