Not a fan of black wheels on anything, and haven't been much of a new Camaro guy, but those two new Z's are awesome.

Don't blame the Chinese, blame the ones who's buying it.

They redesigned the headlights, front grill, and rear taillights on all the new Camaros? Never saw any literature on this.

No stockpiling of parts. It looks like any replaced parts have to be sent back to for "Analysis". I guess to make sure that the only parts out there are only on real Z28 cars.

I agree. I saw a new Corvette recently driving around that was white and had black wheels. I haven't seen another color yet, and while the body looked OK, the black wheels combined with the white pain was so ho hum. Taste is in the eye of the buyer - to each his or her own!

I'm not a fan of tge look, usually. I have seen a few cars which they are acceptable on- all high hp cars and so I have a rule. If the car truely is a BMF tge black wheels are okay. Where is that threshold? I think about 500 to the wheels gets you in the ballpark.

Black rims on poser cars are the worst!

X2! At some point the performance simply overrules the look(s), and ~500RWH can come with black wheels - especially if the body is black. I think the Z28 is simply awesome....

This does not add up to me. If they are concerned about cloning when documentation can be had for cars after 1977 GM Vehicle Invoices, Build Records and Vintage Vehicle Information Availability,,,Clone the heck out of it. The docs WILL be avail to future collectors due to records retention above and beyond the 1960's.
Second it almost seems like the exurbanite buy in cost of obtaining a 2014 Z28 is as if they want to limit this vehicle and its PARTS. Limiting parts is a poor business practice in my mind. They might want to limit issue and use of incompatible parts on lesser equipped cars?

If I was in a position I WOULD have one of these Bad Mothers & stock up on parts in the Chinese GM wrapper and liquidate them 30 years from now!
