Value 68 Shelby GT 500
I know it's real difficult without good pics and more details, but Here goes. Car is candy red, 428, auto, original non posi, now changed to posi. Original drivetrain. Has disks, ps, tilt away, guages, etc.. Car bought in 86 and apparently repainted prior ..garage kept and barely driven since..parked in 2005.. Runs and drives nice..car very solid underneath..appears orig correct exhaust..seems all correct except distributor..paint and interior presentable..maybe a 5 footer.. Could be real nice driver..probably too nice to take apart and redo...
I only saw car on lift as my buddy has to move some cars to take down.. Wondering value as I'd rather not waste my time if I can't make a reasonable offer... Thanks in advance... |

I think less than that. Guy here just sold a gt500 kr 4 speed car that was a very nice driver with 40,000 miles for 75k.

If you post the Marti Report it would help a lot....lists original colors, options, selling dealer. I've owned a half dozen Shelbys - all had posi rears from the factory.

For 1968 most Shelby's were non Trac Lok including the pre KR 500 cars. Crazy to think the 3.89 was an open carrier. Notice how the KR never even offered a high axle ratio yet was the Trac Lok. If you wanted to go fast Mustang had the gear options not the Shelby.
