They also announced that so far the total for memorabilia sold is $4.9 million. I don't know what's more absurd,10K for the fantasy Shell sign or 250K for that fake Beverly Hillbillies car.You could have bought a real classic Packard or Cadillac for that. |

Maybe not prior to the bust, but the economy is getting stronger (in spite of govt actions and really just on the backs of regular Americans being sick of the economic doldrums, IMO) and people are a little more optimistic. I just had a feeling the bucks would be flowing there this year.

Guess the Pratt cars had a lot to do with Tuesday's higher prices, according to the Velocity commentators.
Tonight a nice stock/orange '71 454 Corvette gets just past 30K and then a "rat rod" '71 Chevy short bed, with actual rust holes, gets 30K. I'm sure I am missing something here! Nice to have Steve Magnante commenting on the cars. |
