I create reproduction window stickers for the 1964-1974 Pontiac crowd. As you know, we always have PHS documentation to prove what the car was born with, so displaying a reproduction window sticker on a Pontiac is simply a conversation piece, not for intentionally deceiving someone when selling a car. Aging a window sticker (which I do NOT do) is something else.
That being said, I've accumulated hundreds and hundreds of ORIGINAL window stickers that I use as a reference in creating accurate Pontiac window stickers. I look at fonts and alignments very carefully, and I can tell you that the Yenko Chevelle window sticker shown on the last page is definitely not authentic. Mike

I'm not claiming the YENKO to Jack D. window sticker I just posted is authentic,if that's what you were referring to Mike.
Just underlining the point that a sticker would've more likely displayed Dons logo if HE re-issued it within his network, not the factory. |

I was just stating that I can tell that the window sticker posted on the previous page wasn't printed by Chevrolet.

Plus the factory wouldn't put a colorful individual dealer emblem on it. Only time I've seen the Yenko crest on a window sticker,it looked like this,as Don would issue it. http://www.superchevy.com/events/suc...evy-drag-race/ ![]() Charley, ask triple A if it's one of theirs... http://www.window-sticker.com/</div></div> This isn't a Factory GM/ Chevrolet issued W/S.. ... Its an Add on Supplemental Sticker from the Dealer showing the "Details, Dealer Conversion/ Add ons. Did you guys get so caught up in analizing Fake GM issued ones, you lost site of a Dealer add on Was and still is Required under the Maroney Act of disclosure.. ...All items added over a factory built car Has to have the Alterations/ Modifications/ Added Parts Disclosed and itemized , priced AND Displayed . When I first was exposed to new cars incoming to dealers of the transporters. ...Window Stickers from GM came on the car glass somewhere, on the seat, in the Dealer to install packages or even in the trunk. Its only required a Dealer Display a sticker And OR Supplement . This is nothing more than The Dealer of Record Showing His Detailed changes and His Dealership Logo On His Printed addendum label. This practice is still done today and Is Required by Federal & State Laws. ask Srephano...... PS The first Jack Douglas Yenkos Came from Yenko ,shipped to JDC.. Later he found out he could order his own COPO Cars & Contracted with YENKO to market his Marquee YENKO Pkg on JDC ordered COPO/Double COPO pkgs actually from Chevrolet and he ordered them with different options than did Yenko.. and maybe even in different color options. So, the questions here are, Is this Sticker an Original, a Reproduction or a FAKE ? AS IT SEEMS THIS CAR IS Questionable , at Best with No Known Connection /Facts/ Yenko Paper Trail ? and a Totally different Dealer of Delivery Record ?

Day2 69Z, trust me, nobody here thought that, we all know the diff between a GM vs Yenko issued w/s.
The Chevelle in question has quite a long history with many of us, and the most recent window sticker is not the first one we've seen for this particular car. While this car may have some type of connection to Yenko, it has never been proven nor has it ever been a clear story.

With the 500-600 Total YENKOS that DON claims to have "Marketed". Is there any cars out there Retaining the Original Dealer Add On Sticker, even just 1...ONE, to compare ?

It's not authentic. I never commented on the Jack Douglas Chevrolet window sticker. Yes, of course that's a supplemental, I don't think anyone questioned that.
