Another great running small block. The combo and the "race day tune up" was really working for Ken it looks like.

Can't begin to tell you how much it hurt when I had to call and cancel the room reservation. I just KNEW this was going to be the HIT that it obviously was.
Huge CONGRATULATIONS to Doug, Jamie, Tom, Rob, Drew and ALL the others that breathed LIFE back into this fantastic event. And a Special Tip of the Hat to my friend in Donahue for the well deserved honors bestowed.
I'm so happy that everyone had a Great Time, and that the SCR is ALIVE and WELL again!

Tom, I know you've been to Beech Bend before but now EVERYONE knows why we love the place. With little or no effort, it's easy to convince yourself you're back in the 60s/70s, ....... and with the cars that the SCR attracts, ...... WOW ! ! ! WHAT AN EVENT ! ! !

Dennis, We all really missed seeing you at the reunion, knowing how much you love the supercars and drag racing. Hope you are on the mend and ready to get back into the swing of things. Hoping to see you and the gang at the WH reunion.

Sammy that was the exact idea when we started setting up the car with the look of Day 2 and that was the focus of what we want to achieve ...now when we finally get that 60 foot time down we definitely will be at the 10's. That's always been my goal to build a 10 second hot rod ....thank God and kudos for Dave McGaffee

A "true" Day-2 style car. Drive to work, to school, to the burger joint and then to the track. And then drop your girlfriend off on the way home from the track.
Geeze am I old!

Tom
You nailed the Holy s@#* reaction of people. I spent a lot of time with Kevin Gass from Holley on Friday. He is no stranger to a drag strip. He was a great help in getting my Deuce in the 12s. And that was his exact response. He said he was expecting some really nice rare cars making parade passes and taking photos. But was blown away by how we were running them the way they were meant to be run.
