Default 70 NOVA L78 FAN BLADE

DOES ANYONE KNOW WHY 7 BLADE CLUTCH FANS WERE NOT INSTALLED ON L78 NOVAS? JUST CURIOUS. THANKS, JEFF

Not enough room for the clutch/fan combo and having the fan mounted directly moved A LOT of air, which kept the BB (either L78 or L34) cool, Nova engine bay was smaller than Camaro. If you wind one up with an original fan, you will hear it howl loudly, that is why a lot got of them got chucked

There was a specific fan for 68 and for 69-70 BB Nova applications only

Jeff, if you ever remove it keep it. Original ones are hard to find and are big $$$$$$$$

I found a 7 blade original style fan and put that on my 70 L78 car to move more air because I drive my car.. It whines just like the original 5 blade but I kind of "dig" the sound going down the road.. LOL
