Feeling is mutual, once I decided to bring the car to the event I kind of went dark, felt like it was best to take the car and let the guys doing the vintage type certifications have their day with the car. I Understand the NCRS Bowtie program for NCRS having been in on the ground floor as it was developed and orchestrating it for seventeen years before stepping down, but Steel cars are just different. It's coming to the show wiped off and dusted from the condition I received it in. See you guys in about seven days.. </div></div>

Just a heads up but the fuel should be no more than a 1/4 tank on all cars in the show. So anyone bring a car needs to comply with this requirement. Yes the fire marshalls inspect each car. Just a reminder....

The buzz surrounding this show is getting very loud!!!!

Well the shouting and tap dancing is over, plans are now being drafted for the next move.

We took the Camaro to MCACN, my first time for any type of judging on an American made steel vehicle. The judging team was very busy. Because they had so many cars to do a lot of the groundwork was completed before we arrived. The team members we were fortunate enough to meet were all very engaging and pleasant, we tried to stay out of their way.

Bottom line the car did very well received the &quot;Vintage Legend Certification&quot; From what I can find in my research that's the best we could have hoped for. It's a cool little car, nothing over the top but well preserved.

By the time we received our award there were no judges in sight and we had no chance to thank any of them, in my world it was a job well done.

I may have never been around the judging of a steel American built car, but trust me I have been on the judging field for decades. these guys at MCACN are professional, work hard and did a great job.

It was my first visit to the show, I will be back!

Roy: Sorry I missed you. I had to come home early as Zack's stay in the hospital went longer then anticipated.

Anyway, I looked at your car as closely as I could on Sat. Can't believe that is original paint. Best original paint first gen I have ever seen.
Congrats on the award.

Yes you will not find any better and more thorough guys than Brett and his crew at Vintage. Having been in on the ground floor during it's development I can vouch for how much research, time and caring goes into their efforts. My first three years I literally went to the room at night and collapsed with a smile on my face. I would not have traded it for the world. I truly learned so much. Thanks for the chance to judge now it is off my &quot;bucket list&quot;. On to the book.

Thanks guys, I appreciate all of the kind words. Turns out there is a higher level award the &quot;time capsule&quot; my rough calculations say we missed that in scoring a 94.7% by about 8 points. I have not seen the score sheets yet. I'm really a stickler and basically have not touched this car other than to maintain it, I hate to change an original car that has significant provenance. I know the rally wheels, trim rings and center caps were added by the original owner very early in the cars life, like almost immediately. Should I put steel wheels and dog dish hubcaps back on this car, they wont be original either, but they will give it more of the original look. Is there any chance a broadcast sheet might be located somewhere in this Norwood built car, I really do not want to disassemble it looking for one, but would check an obvious location if there is one.

Lynn, this car may have set outside very few days of its life and probably never over night, the paint is impressive in my world.

Thanks Tim,
