As for the battery pictured above, it would not be correct for a 69. It does indicate 'Energizer' on the top.
With regard to reproduction batteries; thank goodness they are available but the differences between repop and real are readily apparent. Some judging bodies deduct 50% for a repop.

You can discuss with him the 'best measures' to maintain a long and happy life of the battery. I have an original R59, correctly dated, for my 69 Camaro.

I will say, the battery will not be cheap.

Would the assembly line batteries be dated at the factory? Wouldn't the trim tag establish the beginning of the warranty?
