Help me find my dad ex Chevelle
Hey guys, I know it's a long shot but for the last 12 years or so i've tried to find the Chevelle that my father owned from the late 70s to 2000/2001. You may have seen my research post on other forums.
It is a 1969 Oshawa built Chevelle SS396 4 speed, sold new in Jonquiere, Quebec, Canada to Ms. Beaumont (funny coincidence). My dad claim that the Chevelle was butternut yellow with a black vynil top and black interior from factory but he may be wrong and I’ve never seen the trim tag. When sold, it was blue/black interior. He did a frame off ''clean up'' (rust free car), something that was kind of rare back in the days (late 70s), especially up here in Quebec, Canada. VIN no 1363791104068 The car was sold to 2 guys in the Montreal area in 2000 or 2001 who flipped it. I recently found one of those guys and called him. He said they sold the car in Ontario after painting it another shade of blue and that he heard the car was sold in the Detroit area. I ordered the owner history from Ontario and there was 2 names. First there was one previous registrant : 1375579 Ontario inc. with the help of google I found that it is in fact RM Classic Cars, an auction business. The second name is the « current registrant » or the last Ontario registrant, Kim, Myong, Joon. The strange fact is that they registered the car the same date on 01/04/2001. Thats where I am right now.. Here’s some of the aftermarket parts that where on the car when sold; - 427 Aluminium intake - GM rectangular port heads - 427 L88 camshaft - holley 800cfm carb - hookers super competition headers - Ramrod shifter - strange engineering 4.10 gears - Moroso chrome valve covers - Hurst line lock - MSD ignition kit - Crane roller rockers - Jomar stud girdles - Cragar draglite wheels - Pro-Trac N50 rear tires You'll see me as a kid on some of the pictures, I growed with this car and I wish I could find it. I now have my own '69 Chevelle but I would really love to know where is this car. thanks! PS. I'm a french Canadian so please dont judge me with my not so good writing skills, haha.

Neat pictures and welcome aboard. You might also try posting on several of the Facebook Chevelle sites as there are tens of thousands of members there and some who may know the car.

Thanks everyone for the support! It may sound cliche but the only time I saw my dad cry is when he sold his car, I was 12 or so and I still remember when the car left on the trailer. He coulndt look at his car leaving. My father built it with his brother who died from cancer, he sold the car because he was not using it a lot, my sister was going to university and I was playing hockey so with other priorities he decided to use the money that was sleeping in the garage for us.
