A drum master has a single bail to hold lid of master on where as a disc master will have two bails to hold lid on. Picture I sent is a manual disc. Yes, your dads car was a 4 wheel drum as most were back in the day. Remember that Disc was not a racing add on for power just stopping better. Disc won't be on the tag but it was an SS 327 car by the fender flags and the 327 numbers above the flags. If it was just a 283, then it would just have flags with NO numbers.
