Very sad. The girl had guts, that's for sure. R.I.P.
It will be interesting to see if they can determine the cause. I am certainly no expert but I've always wondered about the stability of a plane-turned-car in these applications. Seems like the turbulence coming up off the ground is something it was never really designed for. Did I read correctly that they had thoughts of going for the land speed record of 763 in that?
