I know this is an old post but was any paperwork ever found? Any other memorabilia? I own a 1972 Chevelle SS that was originally delivered to Austin Chevrolet. I was amazed when I found the build sheet because the car has been in NY for at least 25 years that I know if. I would never have guessed it came from a small town dealer in Oklahoma.

I was never able to talk the current owner into letting me sort through the paperwork in the attic. He is a really nice guy, and we do talk from time to time.

A couple years ago, he told me he went up there and found nothing significant. Mostly payroll records and such. He really isn't in to the collector cars, so not sure he would even know what to look for. I will tell him that I know a guy with a 1972 Chevelle that came from Austin Chevrolet. Maybe if I personalize it for him, he will reconsider and give me access.
