Use Super Clean. The purple gallon container. Submerge the part for best results. Plastic model builder hobbyist use it. Check out YouTube videos. Won't hurt plastic. Don't get it on your skin. Great for stripping vacumn plating (chrome) on arm rest bases, AC balls etc. Read the directions on what not to use it on.

This is the best and safest. Castrol Super Clean.
