Reproduction fan belts
Looking for thoughts about reproduction fan belts. Are they good quality? Do they look correct? Any other thoughts? Thank you, Joe

my experience with Quanta belts is that they are fine for going to the ice cream shop. if you plan on some high revving action they are no good. they flip over and fly off.

Thanks for the input. I guess I'll put the old belts back on. Hard to find a belt that doesn't look too dicky-dacky on these cars....Joe

YES YES YES, if you drive your cars don't use them. Had one flip over on the freeway instant over heat. OK for trailer queen. JMO |

Not much to choose from in the way of correct fan belts, unless you get lucky finding an NOS belt.
Quanta is who I’ve used on my Survivors (anything rubber needs attention on the old cars), BUT, they are flippers / rollers. Whenever I opened all 6 barrels on my ‘66 GTO the Quanta belts would take off. The photo below shows the 9017 flipper and an NOS 3071 that stays put. Show and cruiser use only with the repros. Hey Burd,
Love your signature. I waste a lot $$$ on other things too. LOL |

My Quanta belts don't flip at all on the L72 but they bounce all over the place like there loose even when there adjusted correctly.

The repop belts stretch a fair amount initially. Be ready to re-tighten after a few miles.
