The first gen Mustangs just don't bring a lot of money and in it's rough condition, the 25k was fair. Yes, it is rust free and that is rare in the rust belt, but for the market in the southwest, that's about all it was going to fetch. I believe that was the B-I-N price and someone in the Midwest should have jumped on it. As for the reinforcement plate under the tunnel, that does look original, but may have been deleted on later years, as unnecessary ? The floor pan is made for that plate. I don't recall seeing them on the newer converts I've worked on.
