Good luck on the find! Production numbers are higher than I thought they'd be.
Friend in high school drove an LS5 4-spd version. That thing had terrible axle hop!

Always had a weakness for Elky’s , lucky enough to own a few neat ones , an L78 , Shadow Grey, M21 4 speed car and a Cdn doc’d LS6 El Camino, Forest green, M22 ,…..Neat car , great history , originally sold in small town Alberta , just one hour north of Calgary.

L78 numbers for 1966-68 was less than 100 each year, so it would stand to reason....?
