Albert Einstein Flunked Math

Many subpar math students have been consoled by encouraging teachers who remind them that even Einstein — history's most famous mathematical genius — flunked math class. He did not. He mastered differential and integral calculus by 15, and taught himself algebra and geometry with books his parents bought him before he was 12 so he could master the fields on his own over summer vacation.

'I' Before 'E' Except After 'C'

One of the most common and easy-to-remember rhyming spelling lessons is "'i' before 'e' except after 'c' or when sounding like 'a' as in 'neighbor' or 'weigh.'" The rule is wrong at least 25% of the time. Need some proof? Science. Forfeit. Weird. Glacier. Albeit. Fancier.

Water Towers Store Drinking Water

It's true that some water towers store drinking water, but even in those cases, the main function of a water tower is to create water pressure. Most drinking water comes from wells, reservoirs, lakes or rivers. The reason water rushes out when you turn on your faucet is because massive stores of water in vertical, gravity-fed water towers apply enough pressure to force water to flow through your municipality's network of underground pipes leading to your house.

Chrysler used a wind tunnel to design the 1969 Charger Daytona. They were able to experiment on what would yield the least resistance for the back wing resulting in the highest top speed.

When Plymouth designed the 1970 Superbird, it shared most, but not all, of the Daytona's speed features. And the one feature that they changed, to make it look more aesthetically pleasing was to slant the rear wing back. This caused more turbulence at super speedway speeds.

The top speed of the Charger Daytona was 200 MPH. The top speed of the Superbird was 185 MPH. The loss of 15 MPH . . . to make it look pretty.

Hi Lee.... Stick with the car pics, they make my day. Telling me all the stuff I was taught by teachers was not correct only assures me that those days were wasted in school....

I should have gone to work sooner to make more $$$ to waste on cars!!! LOL

Thx
