In CA you used to have to buy these new out of state and register with someone there..guess what? 43 years later and you STILL can't get this car titled here because of emissions! ( buddy's uncle's cousin who can get you a smog cert notwithstanding)

1981 was the year all 350 4 speed Z28's were shipped to Canada.

All 1979 z28's got the 350 engine regardless of transmission.
