DUCO/Magic Mirror was all Lacquer paint.
The Lacquer paint process used by GM required the application of heat to initiate the paint reflow process. Longer exposure in the ovens or more heat resulted in better reflow characteristics and higher gloss. If the body is already warmer due to ambient temperatures, then a slight gloss adjustment was expected on the final appearance. |
