My 73 had stock factory front disc brakes and original 4 stud spindles as the front end was totally stock. The 9" had factory drum brakes. I had no chute and pulling the car down from 138 was never a problem. It wasn't one of those deals where I had to stand on the brakes with the tires smoking just before it went into the corn field.

I really doubt any of them were released without a 12 bolt rear. Every pic I have ever seen on a Motion Vega had 5 bolt wheels on the back. And if the car got into a lot of accidents do to stock brakes, I don't think they would keep releasing them that way.

I had a number of buddies who had all stock Vegas with just a stock 327/300 and they drove very well. I mean you could get in trouble with one just like you could with a V8 Camaro.
