2020 "Luminaire Green" McLaren 600LT Spider

I had no idea what it was. Initially I thought it was a Ferrari but there were no Prancing Horse emblems anywhere. So I asked the owner and he told me. And yes - that's a really ugly color (IMO).
I am a part time SFI technical inspector at New England Dragway.
Last night, one of these (a McLaren anyway- maybe not the same model) pulled up in front of me (side view) in orange.
From the side view, I actually thought it was pretty much the ugliest new corvette I'd seen. That color was just horrible on it.
(And I actually do like the styling of the new mid engine Corvettes)
Took me a couple minutes to realize it wasn't a Corvette.
Anyway, after he grabbed his helmet & fire jacket out of the trunk (in the front), I asked him to pop the hood.
He said he couldn't do that.

Apparently, they actually have to remove the rear body panels to get at the engine when they service it.
I asked him how do you check the oil?
He went inside, pushed a button & popped open this little maybe 8" square panel that opened up just behind the rear window.

$200K was the price of admission. Said he traded in his two BMWs for it.
Cranked off 10.50s.

Thanks, interesting story and history.
Very unique car but still, to me, not a complementary mish-mash of styles that the O/O put together.
BUT, if I had been the bellboy...

Hmmm. So the lawyer with OCD in me thinks that you can only walk on the thin white line, now.
