I am surprised I’ve never seen this car around. Really impressive survivor.

Those rally wheels just look so “right” on a 67 big car.

I love this car.

This is one I would be afraid to drive.

I would be like the guys that treat a restored rare car like a museum piece.

I'd drive the wheels off a restored car. It can be restored again.

I'd be afraid someone would hit this one.

Yup, that’s the Big problem I have with the low mileage Unrestored Survivors.

All it takes is one clown on their smart phone texting and slams into a virgin old car. The Survivor status just disappeared.

Restored cars ….. drive them, thrash them, as they can be restored again.

This car's original owner was Hank Newman, a friend of mine for 25 years before he passed. Hank wanted an SS-427 but Chevrolet would not build one with a Bench seat. He wanted the fastback body style so he had one built with a "Strat- o-Bench seat" according to Hank, and every option he could load on it, and what he couldn't, he installed over the counter parts through GM mostly from a Caprice.

As far as not seeing it around, it was in his garage in Hoffman Estates with blankets on it for what I remember a leaking front brake Caliper since the mid 90's and never got around to sending them out be be sleeved in Stainless Steel.

I purchased all his NOS 1966 Impala parts he had collected for his Super Sport 283 Impala he never restored from his Widow.

This is the finest 1967, no stories Impala on the Planet, Barr None. Good luck with the sale. I hope it goes to a worthy caretaker.

Bill
