There were a couple of us actively looking for this car. I've talked with the family of the original owner and had info on where it was sold new (Dale). I also found someone who has all of Dale's archive. They wanted insane money for the paperwork so I didn't pursue it further.

Either way, the car was unregistered for longer than Wisconsin keeps records so it would have been impossible to find. The only way to find it would have been to follow the breadcrumbs from new.

That's likely a half million dollar car when done. Would have to be some pretty insane money not to go after it. On the flip side it is unfortunate that so many people hold hostage for things like this. Really gives the hobby a black eye.
