First thing I saw on the hood open pic was those huge bolts, and yes, cutting them down to minimum would be a big help. I might even try to paint them with an artists brush and some Rustoleum Red to disguise them better.
I'm with Tom here, it would be a major coup' for that car to bring more than low 20's as there are still many Mustangs like that around for that price.

Really need pics of the undercarriage to determine the extent of rust damage/replacement panels. Being a NY car, it has to have been subjected to salt, unless it was imported from a southern state. Those poor cars started rusting on the trains as they left factory.
