A little more progress on the 62 today. I pulled the plug wires out, along with the battery for a nice gentle cleaning of the engine compartment. In addition, I sent the original carb out for restoration yesterday (it has a 64 300hp PG carb on it now). Sounds like that will take about 4-5 weeks.
    The cap is a later "R" cap, but still a nice Delco dual window cap  This should run better yet by freshening these! I suspect that in the late 70's early 80's is when the engine was rebuilt and the car was freshened. The wires were a cobbled combination of a few different things  No bueno   More better$$$$$$
