Default Tire Code?

I need help, decoding a tire date. The code is UY05023. Also, i;m looking for assembly line 69 tires. F-70 14. raised white letter tires. Thanks BBBenny.

The "U" is the year & the "Y" is the day????.....Joe

U=year and Y=month

To my knowledge nobody has found or shared an equivalent decoding system for period Firestone or Uniroyal. I looked pretty hard a few months ago.

Correct. When DOT implemented digit formats they changed over the years, this may help identify approximate time period of other manufacturers. I have information somewhere and will provide sometime after MCACN.
