I have been coming here for years and this year used VRBO and found a place 6 minutes from the site. To get to most of the Hotels in this area you need to go west toward Disney on 192. It is a pretty easy place to get to but more traffic near Disney.
I just get a hertz car and the airport is just north of the hotels and the auction site. There are toll roads around here but they can be avoided. So far the traffic this year has not been that bad.
There must be a dozen places to eat on the grounds and all along 192 are places to eat. That is the good thing with this being a busy area. There is a place called Old Town to the west of the auction site near U. S. 4. I would try and avoid 4 also if you can. It can be a parking lot. Anyway, Old Town used to host car shows about once a week but I dont know if they still do that or not.
