Default Formula 1 Super Stock picture thread

Thought I would start a small thread on what I think is the coolest tire of the muscle car and post muscle car era, the Formula 1 Super Stock. Here are some photos I’ve collected, a couple being of my SC Rambler with N50-15’s out back, but if anyone has any feel free to add them.

There’s plenty of other cool tires from this era too, so feel free to post those. I’ve seen ads for Big Boss 60’s, but they don’t seem to have been very popular.

Great idea. I'd love it if Coker brought these back

I asked Rusty Tires about that at MCACN and he said he wasn’t even sure who held the copyright for them at this point. I agree though. I’d love to see them available so I don’t have to drive around on questionable 50ish year old ones.

Every time I drive I feel like the below meme

That would be a trademark issue.....and you can't just "hold" the trademark. They do expire and have to be renewed. Finally, the trademark has to be "used" as opposed to "held". No "use" and it can be lost is my understanding.

Sorry - not a cool pic contribution to this thread w/my posting. Please "bury" my comment w/more cool pics!

All of those pics are cool, but that '68 Firebird and C2 Vette are just killer 70's Street Machines.

Another two. I’ve posted the Elco before. But not this picture.

It wouldn’t be terribly difficult to fabricate a set of stencils and just paint them onto a nice, fresh set of new tires. The advantage to this would be you could letter up something really sticky to lay down some power. It would be a fun project!

I've been considering using this Man who makes tire lettering & sent me a quote last year, for a specific RWL project of tire lettering onto a brand new set of tires. He's very professional & responded quickly. He's specializes in tire lettering and seems reputable from many I've talked to who used him on Fbook & were very satisfied. His prices seemed fair I thought. https://tredwear.com/tire-kits/brand...U3j06DLBpNY_xA
