Hello Chuck,

Thanks for the pictures. I had looked a bit deeper in my notes after posting the above. 3192848 stamped shock was used through 1972 Nova and possibly later (obviously by the date stamp...). The part only showed up in 68 and 69 part books. Later shocks were then sold by the assembly number (box number) that included bushings. Which was why I asked about a box number.

As example 3192953 was the box number for 3192477 PS code shock used on the 68-69 Chevy w/H.D., spec. perf. susp., 67-69 Camaro, 70 Nova (and later) shock.

I do not have a confirmed box number for 3192848. Being sold as an assembly makes tacking usage difficult. It could have been box 3197671.

3192848 is a 3rd gen Nova only shock used on standard heavy duty suspension 6 cyl and low horse power V8 cars. Might work on later X Body cars at least up to 1975.
