Back in 1995 I bought a 71 El Camino out of Michigan it was a black LS6 automatic. Everything on that truck's was consistent with what it would have to be an LS6. All the motor numbers was dated and stamped correctly, The in dash tach was a 71 tach and had a 6500 redline. I done some research and got ahold of a document from Fran Preve and it stated there was 18 LS6 71 chevelles but did not know if any were El Caminos'. I sold the truck to Patrick MaGrooter(sp?). Steve Banker inspected it for him and was satisfied it was real. I always suspected it may have been a GM executives car.
