I remember looking through the Sears and JC Penny catalogues as a kid and "Husky" was one of the clothing sizes. These days it's probably equivalent to "slim cut" :-)

With the 752 mile drive home from Rochelle Park NJ and what driving I've done since I got home, I've put almost 900 miles on it in 5 days. I was surprised at the gas mileage on the drive home. I checked if after both fill ups. It got 21.3 mpg each time. Yeah, I hate the front license plate bracket. I need to take it off to see how bad the mounting holes look. I have seen that Dodge sells body color plugs to cover the holes. I also thought about painting the bracket Octane Red and getting a cool plate to put in it. I haven't seen any with painted bracket to see how it looks. I knew about the actual horsepower from the info you posted when I bought the blue 2023 Hellcat. The extra horsepower is nice to have but I can't tell much of a difference. The widebody package makes the car handle and ride a little better. I checked that extended warranty site a couple days ago. After entering my info it told me that someone would have to come to inspect the car before giving me a price. I didn't continue after reading that. I'll check into it again.

If they asked for the dealer pre-inspection that is because your car is out of the 3/36 factory warranty. That is standard for any vehicle that is no longer under warranty. I made sure and got mine a month before the 36 month expiration date in late April of this year.
An added suggestion: get some of the clear PPF protection film and cover the entire rear flares. Those flares are rock magnets. Even worse than the old 2nd Gen Trans Am rear flares. I believe there are some companies that make precut PPF kits for just the flares. Last edited by njsteve; 05-19-2025 at 07:00 PM. |

A little over a week ago I took the new Challenger on a road trip with a group of other guys to The Tail of the Dragon. It was my first trip to TOTD. I had a blast. The car handled the curvy road better than I thought it would. On the 11 mile road, there are 318 turns and curves. I did the round trip two times. The first was with cars from the group I was with, mostly import sports cars and a few Corvettes. It was a pretty aggressive drive but I kept up with them. The second trip was by myself so I took it a little slower so I could just enjoy the drive. On the drive up there we were on the Blue Ridge Parkway for a little while. I stopped and got a few pictures from there. There is not really any places on the TOTD to stop for pictures but there are three different companies set up along the drive that take pictures as you pass and have them for sale on their websites. It the link below there are over 50 pictures of my car that were taken by one of the companies.
