The National Auto & Truck Museum in Auburn brought over their GM Futurliner. This is #10 of 12 Futurliners built in 40. This thing is 30' long, 9' wide and 11' high and weighs 15 tons. It is powered by a 302ci 6 cylinder GMC truck engine. From what I could find these went on tour in 41, but the tour was stopped and they were put in storage when the US was drawn into WW11. After the war they were revamped and went on tour again from 53 to 56. They were then sold off. #10 was purchased by Goebel Brewing Company and used for promotional purposes. After the company was bought out the Futurliner was sold to Pulte Construction. It was eventually sold to Joe Bortz before the museum acquired it.
