Not trying to be Debbie Downer but is that one of the years that the Duramax had injector issues/extended warranty TSB? Did you get the service records on it?
Appreciate the comment. Yep well aware of it. unfortunately the guy I bought it from did not have any issues with them and therefore they weren’t replaced and of course the time is expired. After reading a lot about them, there are many people who got hundreds of thousands of miles out of them with proper care. One of the things that I’m addressing is putting a lift pump in to help and obviously supplementing my diesel fuel. It will most likely get light use so I’ll drive until I see any issues.
I’m really digging it! Unlike my new one it doesn’t have all the emission junk on it and I love the smell of diesel!!

I've been using the Optilube XPD religiously for 15+ years now in our 1995 6.5 K2500 Suburban. Best-rated lubricity enhancer out there. I know the Duramax'es are a lot different than the old 6.5 but I replace my lift pump every couple years. I bought a Napa (Carter) pump years ago that had a lifetime warranty and the moment I think the pressure output is slipping, I bring that baby back into Napa and get a brand new on on the house!
