I'm going to guess that '71 Judge goes for $235K.
They pulled a full-page ad in this month's Hemming's Muscle Machines for this estate auction, so I'll bet all the latex glove boys will be there with their heavy checkbooks. The car will never get driven because the guy's wife will hate the car because it "doesn't ride like our Mercedes." ![]() I hope the bottom falls out of the hobby and these guys have to, "sell, sell, sell!!!" ![]() ![]()

Much to my amazement, some one told me to look close at the color codes on that car. And I'll be if they didn't do color changes on the interior and top. As rare as these cars are, I would think that is odd on a high level restoration.
At any rate, I had to juggle my list a little bit. I know two of the nice cars had offers of 200,000 turned down over a year ago. I'm still thinking it might go over 300,000. Will see in three days I suppose. |

actually, it was 197,500 for the 1971 - I was there and I bid 195k. I don't think the other guy had any "quit" in him, so I walked away. It was a nice car, and I know how rare they are, but to me the sex appeal was low being green, automatic, and a trim tag change. I looked at the car all morning and couldn't get worked up over it. The result on the 65 and 70 are really over the moon, IMHO, for cars with as many stories as they had. The Superbirds were ridiculous, both had NO paperwork and NEW fender tags. One was a restamp.
I have decided I may fake my death at some point so I can get 1,000 people to fly into Milwaukee in a raging blizzard and pay huge money for all of my junk!! ![]() ![]() Colin |
