No, he didn't send me a picture of it. I assume it's for a TH rather than a Muncie, but the characters didn't make any sense to me which is why I put it on a couple of boards to confirm I'm not Nuts
![]() ![]() I've sent him the link to Dale MacIntosh's "ChevelleStuff" site and let him decipher it from there. Thanks for the responses Albert & Jeff ![]()

Don: I looked through my POP stuff, and that code looks the most like a 400-THM code...but if that's the case, it should be "69A" which would either be a '69 350/255hp or a 396/265hp, as opposed to "59A" shown...but since the only one of those available in the Chevelle was the 350 we'll go with that. And if the above is true, the "R22" is *supposed* to be the build date code, and should be 3 digits instead.
So, what powerplant was original to the car? Am I close? ![]() |

So, what powerplant was original to the car? Am I close? ![]() [/ QUOTE ] I don't know Rob, all he sent was that tranny code. After sending him Dale's link he got back to me to say thanks and did clarify that the code is supposedly S9AR22 and not a "5" as the first character. He didn't ask for any more help so I guess he can take it from here. Thanks for your input Rob ![]()
