Matt,
Sorry, I don't have any photos..at least nothing you could get any info from.
I just took a piece of sheet metal, and made a piece from the top "seam" of the firewall at the cowl, to just past where the heater hoses exit the firewall. I had the donor car available, so I knew where, and how big to make the hole for the heater core. Just weld in the piece, grind down the welds, and paint. The heater core cover will "Hide" most of it anyway. A little seam sealer at the original seam, and you're all set.
It really wasn't a big deal.
