Mark... I LOVE flat hood '69 Z28s! Nothing like an original peice. Enough of these fake cowl hoods! Nice car!

Our diverter valve was in trouble too. The Z28 did make a nasty popping/backfiring noise when you backed off the throttle at high speeds. Jerry MacNiesh just rebuilt the pump as a whole unit but he stressed when the motor is restored or rebuilt to then rebuild the smog pump as a hollow unit.

Anyone got some shots of a Frost Green '69 Z28?

Do you still run your car with the smog pump running? This probably is a stupid question since all of you guys (or most)do...right? When I got my car,all the smog was intact but I'd be willing to bet the diverter valve wasn't functioning properly because it'd backfire something fierce when you'd get out of it.I just recently pulled my stuff off and boxed it because I'm going in a slightly different direction under the hood.Don't know if I want to sell but I might,we'll see.

I say,if it's gotta be Green in '69,it better be Fathom Green!

My pump is gutted and just along for the ride... You cant even tell... Mark

As long as it is a first generation Camaro, particulary a 69, I love all the colors that were offered. I am still kicking myself in the butt for passing on a Code 59B 69Z about 6 months ago. It needed a lot of work, but it was a #'s matching Z, with a black vinyl top/black rally stripes.

Here is a picture of my Garnet Red 69Z.

Very nice car..great stance too!

396L35,

I agree.Frost Green is very unusual and looks very nice when done right.

I like it on someone else car better though...

Mosport,

I have some pics of when I bought it if that helps...
