Brads car.... everyone thinks its a Motion, he claims it is.. BUT it has not been documented by Joel.. he has not asked him to verify it.. in fact, there has been NO verified motion vegas. as far as we know, none exist and that car could be a clone.

72MotionVega is correct. I have personally spoken with Joel within the last 12 months about the Motion Vegas and even mentioned the referenced car and he said there is not a single documented Motion Vega. Brad's car could be legit, but it is not documented through Joel and I do not believe there is any paperwork on the car.

ok, so we know there are no motion vegas.. for now. and there are Yenko vegas.. but here was my question.... there are documented yenko vegas (4 cyl stingers) but did yenko EVER produce a 8 cyl Yenko Vega. ?? Is there any speculation that they ever did??? If Motion and Scunzio were putting the V8's in vegas ....why wouldnt Yenko do a few and drop one of thier Yenko V8's in a vega.. especially if they offered a V8 conversion kit in thier catalog..
Also if alot of the original stingers were converted to V8's anyway... has there been ONE documented or found believed to be a real former Yenko Stinger that is now a V8. third and this is a matter of opinion since I have run into both over time being offered for sale... what is more desirable or if you were to do a clone on a V8 vega.. would you do a Yenko or a motion ?? . |

The reason there would be no V8 Yenko Stingers is because of the EPA. The Feds would not allow Don to add a turbo to the 4 banger without getting it certified, so no way would they have allowed a complete engine transplant. A few years later Joel was alos shut down by the EPA.

There are 2 Yenko stingers that I know of that were later day conversions. Both went through the Holub family. One was light blue, the other was silver. The silver one was at one time claimed to be a Yenko transplant, but was in fact converted by the dad of a board member here. Jeff Morocco.
Charley, I am fairly sure that I remember seeing pictures, and articles from back in the day of Motion converted vegas. One picture I remember was Joel doing a peg leg burn out in front of the shop. Is Joel claiming that none were ever built period, or that there is no work orders, or paper trail for them other than whats in his memory? |

I do not think there is any doubt that there were a few Motion V8 Vegas built, too many artilces from the day. Now, do any exist today, that I do not know.
