JB, the plate that's on the car is one used for car shows, its not registered to the car, so there is no chance of it being confiscated. I like the look of the black plate vs. the blue on this color car. It could have been ordered that way based on the info. i listed above. Lots of people have commented on the black plate and correctness of it. It's hard for me to understand why...its the car that's the attraction!. Thanks, mike
