Default Re: Green Yenko Camaro at Carlisle GM Show

Obviously not a COPO due to the date of production or did you see the car and find other things that indicated otherwise?

I have read several times that Yenko was in talks with Chevrolet in 1968 to have the factory install the 427. It was further stated that there may, in fact, have been some 1968 Yenko Camaros that had the 427 installed at the factory.

Has this claim ever been proven?
Are there some 68 cars that have documentation proving the engine was installed at the factory?

Any information would be appreciated.
