I kinda go to the pics that Verne posted of York. All very cool, but a lot of them done in the nostalgia "back in the day" race car look. If this car had no race history, I'd say GG dog dishes, off the show room look. But this is the cars history/life. To put it back, would be somewhat like putting the Vitar copo, or Herbie's hugger, or the Ray Allen chevelle back to show room stock. A cars history, is like the story of your life. While a baby's born with a clean slate, he/ she are what they are in life by what they do. If he grows up to be a Hells Angel, you don't dress him up in a suit when he dies, and say "what a nice life he lived". In my old perverted logic, that's how I see these cars. Especially when there's documented evidence , and people alive to tell it's story. These cars say, "Iam, what I am". Tell my story. JMHO
