Default Looking for Bill Edwards.....

who is the original owner of my '66 R-Code Fairlane. It's one of the 57 cars Ford built at the Atlanta plant in June and July of 1966. All were identical white/black Fairlane 500's with disc brakes and lift off scoop hood with the dual quad 427/425hp medium riser engine.

Bill purchased the car in NYC and it became a race car day one. As of now, it has 1300 original miles, most 1/4 mile at a time.

Thanks,
Paul

Default Re: Looking for Bill Edwards.....

I'm now told that this car (and Bill Edwards) came from North Carolina, maybe the Winston-Salem area. It was raced extensively locally in the late 60's and may have been converted to '67 specs (interior) to qualify for NHRA Stock class. It was white with black interior, later had altered wheelbase and was tubbed. May have been lettered "Thunderstruck". Anyone remember this one?
