Re: BEST OF BALDWIN MOTION
I don't know where the hell I was when this thread was going on (I have never see it till today), and I am not a fan of Motion cars, but the story and these cars are freakin amazing. This is definitely one of the "top ten" storys that I have ever heard come from this site.

Re: BEST OF BALDWIN MOTION
With the Motion book coming out I talked with Marty about posting some pics related to the history of these cars as a promo. I don't know which pictures I submitted actually were used. Anyway, this is one of the best-in front of Motion Performance the day of delivery, September 1970, brand new, close to two years after the original order date.

Re: BEST OF BALDWIN MOTION
Check out the Phase III GT parked next to the Camaro. I'm wondering if this car ended up with Otis Chandler and then on to Kevin Suydam

Thanks for posting! Do you have in higher resolution??

Re: BEST OF BALDWIN MOTION
Roberto proving to his friends did indeed have two Baldwin -Motion cars built. Remember these cars where held in storage on Long Island awaiting permits from the president of Mexico (Gustavo Diaz Ordaz) so that the cars could be bought directly into the country. Unfortunately, only one permit was issued and the cars never made it into Mexico. Additionally, the administration changed (President Luis Echavarria Alvarez) and Robertos' father-in-law, the governor of Chihuahua (Oscar Flores) did not have the same relationship with him

Here's another shot of the Camaro, original photo, not enlarged. The detail may be a little better
