If you want to keep the fresh casting look and not the Painted look......Use Calyx......available from resto supply houses.......keeps the casting look for quite a while, when it starts to go away, rub some more on and they look fresh again...........

I'm having Jerry M do mine right now. The wait is long though. He's busy and there is a 6-8 week turn around time.

I'd be interested to know the cost of this "special" treatment that you are waiting 6-8 weeks for.....

I can have flame sprayed/aluminized manifolds done in Seattle THIS week.....This coating is approx .008 thick
and the vendor alledges it doesnt change the complexion of the cast iron. I would then include a can of VHT 1200' Cast Iron paint, so that you can color to replicate the factory look.

Chuck...Give Jerry a call and ask him what he charges for the job. Tell him about your connection and see what his response is. 410-781-0418 is his number.

My offer and suggestions are in no way meant as a connection to anything that J.M. performs in his business.
My comments are not intended to deminish any service that J.M. offers

I am only offering alternative ideas and suggestions.

Jerry M. can do it as well as the intake, does great work. Cost is approx. 400 for a set I think.

Jerry did mine seven years ago, and they still look great (photo below). I've had good luck on other cars with Eastwood's "Factory Gray" coating, after lightly blasting to get a clean surface; excellent durability, no touch-up required. Calyx requires regular touch-up, never dries, and judges don't like it - it rubs off on anything that touches it (like white shirt sleeves ).
